Founded in 2015, Duck Soup is a home for talent to accomplish their vision with ease and integrity. Producing bold, authored content for Film and TV, Duck Soup’s projects aim to take global audiences on an entertaining and thought-provoking journey exploring contemporary and resonant themes.
In April 2017 the company secured a minority partnership with Fremantle who subscribed to 25% of the company. Duck Soup Films is the recipient of the 2016 and 2017 BFI Vision 3 Awards and has a burgeoning slate of projects in financed development.
Who are we
Duck Soup Films is a collaboration between producers Bekki Wray-Rogers, Libby Durdy and Jessica Holyland. Before setting up Duck Soup, the three produced and line produced some of the UK’s best TV Drama including the multi BAFTA award winning ‘This is England’ TV series' and the International EMMY award winning ‘Utopia’ TV series’.
The BFI's Young Audiences Content Fund has revealed Duck Soup project Dance School is among 14 projects to be awarded funding from the YACF development pot. Dance School is an exciting drama which follows a group of ethnically and socio-economically diverse students aged 16-25 attending a world-renowned Dance School in Chapeltown, Leeds.
